If you receive multiple notifications for the same job, it is likely because the job disappeared and reappeared on your substitute account many times. When SubAssistant detects a new, available job on your substitute account, you will be sent a notification. SubAssistant will not send another notification for that same job as long as it remains available on your substitute account. Once the disappears (because it was accepted, canceled, etc.), there is a five minute period where, if it appears again, SubAssistant will not send the notification again. After the five minute period, if the job appears again, SubAssistant will send another notification.
